New GMID Interface
GMID (Global Market Information Database) has introduced a new interface. Those of you familiar with the current interface will know the frustrations of the present cumbersome tab-based/hierarchical lists approach. The new interface is much friendlier and allows browsing. Menu search is still available, though. This is how GMID explain the advantages of the new interface:Key enhancements to the new GMID interface are as follows:· Content is more visible via new INDUSTRIES, COUNTRIES, CONSUMERS pages. They offer quick access to latest reports, key trends (statistics) and topical comment.· Users no longer have to rely on Menu Search or Text Search to find research. They can find analysis by ‘browsing’ INDUSTRIES, COUNTRIES and CONSUMERS pages for content. This approach resembles the way users find information using internet browsers. · There is much more related content, giving users quick access to information they may not realise exists in the subscription.· Help functionality is much improved. It is more comprehensive than before and available online. The new interface is now live - access through LitSearch as usual. Any problems, or other questions, please feel free to contact the team.Dan Bye
